Teachers' Day greetings

Governor Dr Najma Heptulla and Chief Minister N Biren have extended warm greetings to the people of Manipur, especially the members of teaching community on the occasion of Teachers' Day 2017 .
In a message, Dr Najma Heptulla said September 5 is celebrated across the country in memory of Dr S Radhakrishnan, a renowned educationist, scholar and a former President of India on his birth anniversary .
The teachers are the moulders of the future and hence their services need to be acknowledged.
"I have no doubt that they will continue to strive to provide their services with utmost dedication and devotion," the Governor said .
Chief Minister N Biren said that Teachers' Day is celebrated to pay hearty respect to the teachers for their hard work and dedication to the society .
"I salute all the teachers of Manipur for their dedication to their work and wish them a Happy Teachers' Day," the CM added .
Education Minister Th Radheshyam has also warmly greeted teachers ahead of Teachers’ Day tomorrow.
In a statement, the Education Minister said that teachers are the backbone of society and they play a great role in building up the character of students and shape them to become ideal citizens of the Nation.
