RIMS-GJCC, RIMSSU organise cleaning and tree plantation programme

Imphal, October 03 2021: RIMS Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee (GJCC) and RIMS Students Union (RIMSSU) organized "Cleaning and Tree Plantation programme" on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti yesterday.

The programme was attended by Prof A Santa Singh, Director, RIMS as the chief guest, said media advisor of RIMS in a statement.

Prof A Santa Singh, Director, RIMS, Imphal at the occasion informed that RIMS is celebrating its Golden Jubilee year since September 14.It is a really proud moment that the Gandhi Jayanti program is organized jointly by the RIMS-GJCC and RIMSSU in a grand manner this year in line with the year-long Golden Jubilee celebration, he said.

The institute has been working on keeping the institute/hospital neat and clean on priority, he said while adding that the mass cleanliness program will be observed for one month starting from today.

The Director appreciated Dean (Academic), Prof Brogen Singh Akoijam; Medical Superintendent of RIMS Hospital, Prof N Sanjib Singh; Chairman of the RIMS Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee, Prof Y Indibor Singh; Convenor of RIMS Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee Prof RK Lenin Singh; Principal of Dental College, Prof Praveen Reddy; RIMSSU Advisor and Sub-Dean (Academic) Prof Th Meera Devi and RIMSSU office bearers for initiating the programme.

Later, the Director led officials in planting trees at the Kushumlei Hostel (Ladies Hostel No 3).The programme was also participated by faculty members and officials, staff of Manipur Security Services and CRED, the statement said.
