MTU organises internal hackathon

An internal Hackathon was conducted successfully in offline mode at the Conference Hall of Manipur Technical University (MTU) today.
As per a press release by MTU, the hackathon was conducted by the Manipur Technical University Institution's Innovation Council (MTU-IIC) in association with the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, Government of India under the supervision of Dr Bhabeswar Tongbram, Vice-Chancellor, MTU.
The hackathon was organised as a part of the Nationwide initiative to provide students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems one faces in daily lives to inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving.
Eighteen (18) teams, three each from five Engineering Departments and the Management Department submitted ideas and out of which six teams were shortlisted for the said internal hackathon.
Each review stage was assessed and graded by the esteemed panel of six judges and top four teams from each problem statement were selected.
The selected teams will be recommended for the National Level Hackathon "Smart India Hackathon 2022", added the release.
