SSB man killed, 20 injured in accident

Imphal, January 31, 2012:
One SSB personnel was killed and 20 others injured when a Dimapur bound bus from Imphal met with an accident at Pephima area in Nagaland early this morning.
The injured have been admitted in a nearby hospital in Nagaland.
The incident occurred at around 3:30 am today.
The registration number of the ill-fated bus is MN01A/5882.The identity of the deceased and the injured SSB personnel could not be ascertained as of now.
The SSB personnel were leaving for Dimapur after their duty at various places in Manipur in connection with the 10th Manipur State Assembly Election held on January 28 last.
Meanwhile, an Imphal bound oil tanker (AS03A/3500) carrying petrol from Numaligarh, Assam fell into a gorge at Zakhama in Nagaland and caught fire.
The driver and the handyman of the oil tanker were reported to have been killed in the incident.
The driver has been identified as one Shukumar Bora from Jorhat and the handyman as one TT Gogo from Jorhat.
