Meetei Mayek coaching concludes

A ten-day coaching on Meetei Mayek for TET aspirants organised by MEELAL has concluded with a simple function at Asha-Jina complex today.
BOSEM Chairman P Dhanakumar, MEELAL President Sadokpam Tomba Mangang, COHSEM Secretary Hamom Naba and HERICOUN President M Churamani were the chief guest, president and guest of honour of the closing function respectively.
Speaking at the occasion, P Dhanakumar said, in today's competitive world, there is need for putting in collective effort to promote one's language.
Hamom Naba while speaking at the occasion said that more than 6400 forms have been issued for the ensuing Meetei Mayek TET examination.
MEELAL had urged the the Government through a letter in favour of the candidates who scored less than 50 percent marks to permit them appearing in the examination, he added.
Moreover, MEELAL had also urged the Government to conduct a Meetei Mayek proficiency test, he added.
Naba further said that in case the Government permits the same, both the tests could be conducted simultaneously.
All the students who have passed Class XII examination are permissible to appear Meetei Mayek proficiency test, he added.
He further said that full mark of the test would be 150 while questions would be set from the syllabus Class XII .
There would be general awareness questions as well, he added.The current generation could get lots of knowledge if these manuscripts are analysed, she added.
