Polling was delayed in some area due to technical errors of the EVM machines while on the other hand, it was also found that many of the candidates, did not have proper number of Inner Agents in the Polling Stations.
A total of 1008 voters (481 males and 527 females) came out for voting at 32/3 Thoubal Haokha Upper Primary School but the polling began from 8.40 am due to some problems in the Control Unit.
When it came to 31/35 Thoubal Achouba (A), which has a total voter of around 942 (453 males and 489 females), around 160 voters had turned up and cast their votes by 9.13 am.
It may be mentioned that the said Polling Station 31/35 Thoubal Achouba (A) is manned only by women personnel.
For 31/36 Thoubal Achouba (B), a total of 120 voters (63 males and 57 females) had cast their votes by 9.15 am.
By 9.30 am, 177 voters had given their votes at 31/37 Thoubal Achouba Middle Wing which has a total of 782 voters (367 male and 415 females).
For 32/38 Wangkhem Bishnu Naha Federation Club which has a total of 1083 voters (519 male and 564 females), 136 voters had cast their votes by 9.39 am.
On the other hand, 172 voters had submitted their votes at 7/13 Huikap (B) High School by 10.04 am.
The Polling Station has a total of around 1092 voters.
A slight problem occurred ay the said Polling Station after some agents were denied entry into the Polling Station.
For 7/13 Huikap (A) High School, 151 voters had cast their votes by 10 am.
Voters had to wait till 7.52 am for voting at 7/8 Andro Community Hall after some problems with the EVM.
However, after normal poll began, around 166 voters had cast their votes by 9 am.
During the poll today, it was observed that many of the candidates, except a few, did not have proper number of Inner Agents in many of the Polling Stations.
Former MP Dr Th Meinya along with his wife Sorojini, also came to cast their vote at 18/7 Khumbong Maning Leikai at around 8.47 am .
