Allegation of Benalun Phom fabricated, says Irang Pt-I MDC

Firmly reacting to the allegation of Benalun Phom (Apex body of Thonglang villages), Irang Part-I ADC Member clarified that it is a concocted charge to distract the criminal act upon the Gorkha community of Poudal Basti in Irang Part-I on April 14 .
The ADC Sadar Hills Member from Irang Part-I, Sagar Gewali pointed out that FIR has been lodged at Kangpokpi Police Station and the law will take its own course of action while adding that he has nothing to do with the summoning of the apex body of Thonglang villages but they will be solely held responsible if anything happen to him (Sagar Gewali) .
While clarifying the allegation of Benalun Phom, the ADC Sadar Hills Member said that on the polling day on April 11, about 30-40 youths of Thonglang Akutpa and Chawangkining village which falls under 49-Tadubi Polling Station came to 50/7 and 50/8 Polling Stations in Poudel Basti early before the poll begin with an alleged intention to forcefully capture votes.
He further claimed that the two polling stations, viz 50/7 and 50/8 were accommodated at Poudel Basti LP School, where Polling Station 50/7 has solid 774 votes of Gorkha community and despite of the Gorkha electorates strongly defending their votes, the Naga youths had captured and casted around 150-200 votes even though there is not a single Naga votes in the said polling station and blamed Presiding Officer for not initiating any actions against the youths when they forcefully seized the voters slip.
He also said that similar practice had been carried out by the youths of Thonglang at 50/8 Polling Station.
While clarifying over the matter of tearing posters and flags of NPF, the ADC Sadar Hills Member said that the allegation was completely baseless as the Gorkha community has no intention of hurting someone's sentiment.
Regarding the allegation of destroying a house said to be the residence of MK Mawangbo at 12 Miles, the local MDC clarified that the abducted victim, Raj Kumar Sunal, whose legs, hands and mouth had been tied was rescued by the combined team of Kangpokpi Police and Assam Rifles near the said house while adding that the security forces on being spotted the abducted victim cordoned off the area and they asked them to leave the place as they are going to search the locality.
The ADC Sadar Hills Members appealed to all communities, civil society organizations and likeminded peoples not to believe the concocted and baseless allegation of the Benalun Phom as the Gorkha community of Poudel Basti will never indulge in such unlawful activities.
Meanwhile, Gorkhaland Sayunkta Sangarsha Samiti Central Committee strongly condemned the brutal assault upon the Gorkha communities of Poudel Basti on April 14 in post poll violence and demanded that the state Government and the concerned police to take strict action against the culprits.
Yogesh Kumar Das, North East Conveyor, GSSS urged the CM to order an inquiry into the brutal assault and threat to life of the innocent Gorkhas in the post poll violence committed at Poudel Basti in Irang Part-I which has created fear among the innocent Gorkha community.
