Drugs seized in various locations by NAB

In a series of operations, Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) police station seized opium, WY tablets and suspected heroin from different localities on September 13 and 14 last.
On September 13 last, a joint team of NAB and Kakching police seized 5.685 kg of opium from two individuals whilst on duty at Sugnu Bazar.
The apprehended individuals have been identified as Lheineikim Haokip (28), w/o Khupminalal Haokip of Theijon village, Chandel and Kimneihing Khongsai (41), w/o Lunsei Khongsai of Joupi village, Chandel.
It is reported that the opium is to be sold at Rs 1 lakh per kilogram.
On the same day at about 9.10 pm , a team of NAB arrested one person namely Taj Khan (20), s/o Gulab Hussain of Urup Khunou, Imphal East along with 10,000 WY tablets.
Another team of NAB seized 45 cases of suspected heroin from one Leivon David (49), s/o (late) L Rangmeichung @ Achung of Aimol Khungjai, Tengnoupal on September 14.Leivon David was arrested from Pallel.
Again, on the same day, a team of NAB and Kakching police arrested three persons with 65 soap cases of suspected heroin and one car (Toyota Fortuner) bearing Manipur registration number.
They have been identified as Lingunmang Kipgen (23), s/o Henkhomang Kipgen of B Vengnuom village Churachandpur, Paolensem Haokip (23), s/o Khailem Haokip of Tuibong Khopineng Churachandpur and Haokholal Haokip (27), s/o (L) Hingkhojang Haokip of Pallel.
Meanwhile, a team of Lilong police and Young Athletic Development Association (YADA) arrested a 31 year old man along with 573.5 gram of suspected heroin including the weight of the container, from Lilong Arapti Lamkhai, today.
The person Buyamayum Sahabuddin, s/o Kayamuddin of Hiyangthang Pallak has been arrested by the police and a case has been registered against him.
