Raising Day of the armed wing of KCP, Meeyamgi Phingang Lanmi (MPL) was held at an undisclosed place in Chandel district on August 13.
Khelemba of KYKL-MYL (Meeyamgi Yawol Lanmi), Kirti fo KCP and Likpa of KYKL were the chief guest, president and guest of honour of the raising day function.
The trio hoisted the party flag to mark the opening of the celebrations.
Speaking at the function, Khelemba of KYKL alleged that India has been trying to fragment the society of Kangleipak (Manipur) into pieces.
He added that Kangleipak people must fend off this divisive ploy of India.
Khelemba expressed belief that Kangleipak (Maanipur) would regain its independence soon, which was safeguarded by the forefathers.
Saying that fighting united against India is a must, he stressed on the need for unification of different UG groups.
He added that it is also the wish of the people to unite the UG groups.
He said that one must avoid any step which may spread communal hatred among various communities.
Kirti of KCP in his speech said that Meeyamgi Fingang Lanmi (MFL) has now become a complete Army unit representing the masses.
Saying that uprooting of enemies would bring independence to Kangleipak (Manipur), he also wished to unite the UG groups.
Various entertainment programmes including thabal chongba were organised as a part of the celebration.
