263 tested, 34 cases detected in IW contact tracing

Imphal, June 13 2021:
As part of aggressive mass testing conducted by Imphal West district administration, contact tracing was carried out on Sunday during which 263 persons were tested at 14 places leading to detection of 34 positive cases.
According to reports, 54 tests were conducted under contact tracing at Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai where two positive cases were found while one person was found positive for Covid-19 out of 57 tested at Sagolband.
In similar exercises, Singjamei Chingamakha Phura Makhong reported seven cases; Chingamathak Nameirakpam Leikai six cases; Lairenjam Sabal three cases; Luker three cases; and Chingamathak Nameirakpam Leikai 12 cases.
Tests were also conducted at Imphal Airport, Heirangoithong, Kwakeithel, RD Wing, Iroisemba and Thangtek but none was found positive.
Meanwhile, DC Imphal West Th Kirankumar notified that on Monday aggressive mass testing will be held at Iram Siphai Mayai Leikai; Irom Meijrao Mamang Leikai; Hiyangthang Kumari High School; Lairenjam Sabal; Langthabal Khoupum, Langthabal Chingthak; Langthabal Kunja Mayai Leikai; Patsoi Part II Makha Leikai; Sangaiprou; Kameng; Taothong Mamang Leikai; Uripok Epa Thoukok; Langol Ningthou community hall; Heirangoithong Keithel and Kalibari Devalaya premises.
