Longjam Panba Meitei tops MPMT 2012

Imphal, June 11 2012:
With an enviable score of 368 marks out of 400, Longjam Panba Meitei topped the Manipur Pre-Medical Test (MPMT) this year.
Son of Longjam Manichandra Meetei and Longjam Ongbi Wangkhem Nutan of Keishamthong Longjam Leirak, Panba scored 88, 88 and 192 in Physics, Chemistry and Biology respectively.
His father is a Mandal in Revenue Department and mother a housewife.
Kabita Athokpam d/o Athokpam Ajoykumar Singh, who is an Extension Worker in Agriculture Department and Athokpam Ongbi Nongmaithem Manbi Devi, a housewife, of Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal secured the second position with a total mark score of 368 with 96 in Physics, 88 in Chemistry and 184 in Biology.
Though the total mark scored by the first position and the second position holders were same, the topper was decided on the basis of the mark secured in Biology.
The total marks scored by the third position holder, Seram Rameshwor of Langthabal Lep Awang Leikai, was 356 with 88 in Physics, 92 in Chemistry and 176 in Biology.
He is the son of Dr Seram Raghumani, who is an Assistant Professor in United College, Chandel and Dr.Seram Sangbanabi Devi, who is an Associate Professor in Imphal College.

Sc.
School and topped the MPMT in his third attempt, said that decided to up medical profession to give his full commitment to the welfare of the society.
Kabita Athokpam, a student of Millennium Institute of Sciences, who cracked the MPMT in her second attempt, said that she knows that she can serve the society as a medical professional.
Seram Rajeshwor, a student of Comet School, informed that to get into the medical profession was his childhood dream and he believes in the motto of "Service to humanity is service to God" .
