Bravery Incentive Award to be conferred on September 15

Imphal, September 08 2014:
The 12th anniversary of the International Handicapped Welfare Mission (INHAWEM) Manipur will be held on September 15 at 12:30 pm at the Press Club, Major Khul.
As a part of the celebration, four selected couples from different parts of the State will be conferred with the Khomdram Angou Memorial 'Bravery Incentive Award' .
The award was donated by Aheibam Guni Devi of Heirangoi Thong in memory of her late father, Khomdram Angou of Haobam Marak Irom Leikai in the year 2012 .
Since then, the award is being conferred every year to some selected individuals who are living a difficult and challenging life with their spouses who are differently abled.
The award is dedicated to such people solely to encourage them for their courage, love and devotion towards their spouses.
The individuals who have been selected for the award are, namely, S Damkhohat Aimol (LD) and spouse, S Amang of Aimol Village, pallel, Chandel District; Ngairangbam Inaocha Singh (visually handicapped) and spouse, Lalitabi Devi of Kontha Khabam Mayai Leikai, Imphal East; Keisham (LD) Bishworjit Singh and spouse, Khomdombi Devi of Yairipok Bishnunaha Awang Leikai, Thoubal District and Usham Raseshwori Devi (LD) and spouse, Ropen Singh of Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai, Imphal West.
MLA K Sarat and Padmashree L Nabakishwor will attend the ceremony as the Chief guest and president of the function respectively.
The Chief guest and president during the function will distribute the monthly pension of rs 200 each to 202 individuals.
