Ideal Youth Club celebrates 36th foundation day, Minister assures construction of another eco park

CAF&PD Minister Karam Shyam has conveyed that the time is past for one to dictate, intimidate or take up unethical measures towards people as means for success or development in a State of democracy.
He made this statement as the chief guest during the 36th foundation day of Ideal Youth Club and felicitation ceremony of Guinness World Record holder Thounaojam Niranjoy which was held at Narankonjin Mamang Leikai today.
Maintaining that it is the right of every person to contest in elections or be engaged in politics, the Minister continued that dictating or intimidating people is neither acceptable nor will it lead to success.
The Minister maintained that people have been able witness many changes and developments in Langthabal AC in the last 40 years and any individual willing to do more for the Constituency is welcomed.
However, intimidating is not the key to achieving development, he remarked.
The Minister narrated that an individual who claims to be contesting election, had allegedly threatened a senior person, who usually advises the Minister, over the phone a few days back.
Minister Karam Shyam further stated that he had dedicated 100 percent of the MLA Local Area Development Funds to the people while adding that PDS items are being distributed without any misappropriation.
He also claimed that developmental activities are also being taken up at all the 39 polling stations without any political prejudice.
The Minister assured that a second eco-park will be constructed at Narankonjin hill, after Lilong Chajing Pureiromba eco-park is completed.
He claimed that 90 percent of the construction of Pureiromba eco park, which has an open gym and is filled with greeneries, is finished.
Conveying that numerous trees have been planted at Narankonjin hill, he assured that similar initiatives are set to be taken up, apart from the construction of a second eco park.
He also assured to transform the location along Lilakhong canal, into a park, by putting in benches and planting trees, flowers and fruits.
Speaking about the club, he maintained that Ideal Club is a significant and established club.
Although improving roads, providing efficient electricity or water are signs of development, it is also important to develop human civilisation and mould today's youth and children into better human beings.
As such, the club should carry out the right initiatives and on time, he added and stressed on the need for adopting good disciplines and being helpful to others.
The Minister, while felicitating the Guinness World Record Holder, handed over a cash prize of Rs 50,000 to Th Niranjoy.
Niranjoy made the record for doing 36 push ups with one arm and one leg, within one minute.
Ideal Youth Club president Th Sunilkumar, Lilong Municipal Council Councillor Th Anil, Narankonjin Coordination Clubs general secretary Th Debananda and Takhellambam Primary School retd Headmaster Th Nilakanta attended the function as presidium members.
