3 UG cadres apprehended

Imphal, November 28 2011:
Under the supervision of Deputy SP of Imphal West Dr S Ibomcha, Imphal West District Police Commandos reportedly arrested one activist of the proscribed NSCN (K) from BT Road near Shamu Makhong following a special tip off at around 8.45 am on November 26 .
Identifying the arrested activist as Momon Sangkhel (33) s/o late Kothak Sangkhel of Lamkang Khunou, Chandel district (Army no.11164), Senior SP of Imphal West district has informed that on spot verification, the arrested activist disclosed he joined NSCN (K) in 2004 through one S/S Major Momo of Chakpikarong and obtained basic military training at Makokchung, Nagaland and is now working under the command of Sangpi Angthung Anal alias Angko s/o late Thungtul Anal of Salluk village, Chandel district.
Furthermore, Momon Sangkhel disclosed that he is taking shelter at a rented house in New Checkon, the SSP conveyed in a statement.
In the follow up action, S/S 2nd Lt Sangpi Angthung Anal alias Angko s/o late Thungthen Anal of Salluk village, Chandel district (Army no.9199) was apprehended from the rented house.
On spot verification, Sangpi disclosed that he joined the outfit in 1994 through one Lahring Anal and got 6 months' basic military training at Chumche, Burma border and he was promoted to the rank of 2nd Lt in 2002, the SSP added.
Imphal West District Police Commandos also reportedly arrested one activist of the outlawed PLA identified as Laimayum Mocha alias Jotin Sharma alias Kadi (25) s/o late L Pradeepkumar Sharma of Bamon Leikai Laipuba Leikai from Changangei Airport Leirak at around 11.45 am on November 27 .
In a separate statement, the SSP informed that on spot verification, Mocha disclosed he joined PLA in May 2011 through one Tamo and is working under the command of S/S Project Officer Ibobi of the outfit.
He also disclosed that he was assigned to serve phone numbers of Ibobi for demanding money to private mobile phone companies and general public.
One Nokia mobile handset was recovered and seized from his possession, the police officer said.
