Kondong Lairembi guest house inaugurated

Ima Kondong Lairembi and its surrounding area can be turned into a religious tourist spot, expressed Education, Labour & Health Minister Th Radheshayam after inaugurating the Ima Kondong Lairembi Mithung Shang (Guest House) at the premises ofthe Ima Kondong Lairembi Khubam Moreh, today.
Continuing his speech, the Minister said the construction of the guest house was made possible with support from the people.
He said that the place is a very popular place and attracts many visitors from different parts of the state, especially during its annual Lai Haraoba ceremony.
"A lot needs to be done to create a religious tourist spot.
Moreh is a beautiful town and attracts many tourists from both inside and outside the State", he added.
He further appealed to the people to offer their help and support in developing the town and its tourist spots.The Minister further assured that he would approach the Chief Minister to do the needful to promote tourism in the area.
Today's function was also attended by Parliamentary Secretary IFCD, L Rameshwar Meitei, Parliamentary Secretary RD and PR, H Dingo Singh, Parliamentary Secretary Education and YAS, K Robindro, members and officials of the Autonomous District Council Moreh and members of Ima Kondong Lairembi Mithung Shang Construction Committee.
It may be mentioned that on the way to the border town, the Minister had inspected a DIET Centre which is under construction at Tengnoupal.
After the inaugural function of the guest house, the Minister also visited the Eastern Shine School and interacted with teachers of the schools.
The teachers of the school and various other organisations submitted their memorandum to the Minister.
