MoU signed between MSPB and Pratyaksha Agrotech Private Limited

A memorandum of understanding was signed between Manipur State Medicinal Plant Board (MSPB) and Pratyaksha Agrotech Private Limited, Silchar, Assam at the mini conference hall of Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayantakumar in Old Secretariat South Block, Imphal today.
Speaking at the occasion the Minister conveyed that the signing MoU, with the objective to boost Ayush sector and propagate awareness about the richness of traditional medicinal and aromatic plants, has become a landmark.
The availability of different medicinal and aromatic plants with its suitability of geographical and topographical features in the State have made the small State more attractive to many companies and production firms of the medicinal and aromatic products, he added.
He maintained that Manipur is gradually developing in the health sector.
Recently, Manipur has been declared the best State in the North East and amongst hilly States in the country as a part of Good Governance, India, said the Minister.
Jayantakumar said that today's contract will make it convenient to successfully promote tissue culture of the medicinal and aromatic plants.
Marketing facilities of all the produces will also be arranged by the Government, Jayantakumar added.
He also appealed to the media fraternity to fully highlight the growing importance of aromatic and medicinal plants and the benefits of growing these plants to farmers of the State.
The signing of MoU was represented by Supratim Roy Choudhuri, Director for Pratyaksha Agrotech Private Limited and A Guneswar Sharma, CEO/Member Secretary, MSPB.
Director AYUSH Dr Lukhoi Singh was also present at the occasion.
