One Stop Centre to be launched in all 16 districts within Oct: Nemcha

Social Welfare Minister Nemcha Kipgen today inaugurated a One Stop Centre (OSC), Imphal West at Working Women Hostel (EEMA), Haobam Marak, Chingtham Leikai.
It is the 6th one stop centre inaugurated in the State.
Speaking at the inaugural function as the chief guest, Minister Nemcha Kipgen stated that the newly inaugurated OSC, Imphal West was opened under the directive of Ministry of Child and Welfare Development for the welfare of women in distress or victims of any form of violence (be it in private or public places).
The centre will facilitate an integrated range of services including medical, legal, rescue & response services, police services, psychological and social counselling support to women in distress, the Minister said.
She further informed that the Ministry already approved for the launch of one stop centre in all the 16 districts and the remaining districts will be inaugurated within October this year.
Nemcha appealed to all stakeholders to extend maximum cooperation for the OSC to successfully deliver its services to the affected women and urged all to refer the centre for help.
Notably, Nemcha had already assured that one stop centre would become a reality in all the districts during her spot visit at Sakhi One Stop Centre (the 1st ever centre in the State), at Thoubal Mini Secretariat complex in 2017.The inauguration event was organised by Imphal West District Administration in which Imphal West, DC N Praveen, Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, Imphal West, RK Taruni and Social Welfare Director Ng Uttam attended as dignitaries among other officials.
