Orientation cum training programme on FLN-NIPUN Bharat organised

An orientation cum training programme on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy - National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy (FLN-NIPUN) Bharat key mentors began yesterday at Hotel Imphal, North AOC.
NIPUN Bharat was launched by the Union Minister for Education, July 5, 2021.The vision of NIPUN Bharat is to create an enabling environment to ensure universal acquisition of foundational literacy and numeracy, so that every child achieves the desired learning competencies in reading and writing and numeracy at the end of grade III.
In Manipur, it was launched on September 5, 2021 by the Chief Minister N Biren Singh with the aim of ensuring every child in the State to necessarily attain foundational literacy and numeracy by the end of class 3 i.e., by 2026-27 .

The roles of key mentors are unique but flexile because their duty is to give necessary input to the mentors and the school teachers by pronouncing all models to decipher necessary contents to students.
Above all, strategy management, assessment technique and its periodicity should be made simpler but result should be at optimum level by all mentors.
Mentor is the guide, advisor and counsellor of the FLN teachers assigned or allotted to him / her.
The main objectives of organising such training programmes of the key mentors include providing necessary training to school mentors in tune with national guidelines, to select capable mentors at cluster and block level for Primary grade levels and to provide necessary inputs for achieving the main objectives of FLN.
The roles and responsibilities of the key mentors for the successful implementation of NIPUN Bharat Mission in the State was highlighted during the programme.
It may be noted that NIPUN has been launched as a part of National Education Policy, 2020 which aims to cover the learning needs of children in the age group of 3 to 9 years.
