Imphal, May 21 2016 :
Although an all party de-legation has been deputed to go to New Delhi and lobby with Central leaders to give assent to the three Bills passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 31 last year, the delegates may not be able to hold any meeting with the Prime Minister till May 24 .
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leaving for Iran tomorrow.
As such, any meeting between the Prime Minister and the delegation has been ruled out until the Prime Minister arrives back.
The Prime Minister would be arriving at New Delhi on May 24, and the State Government is hoping that the all party delegation may get an appointment with the Prime Minister between May 25 and May 28 .
The State Government has already approached the Prime Minister's Office seeking appointment with Narendra Modi.
However, no appointment has been fixed till date on account of the Prime Minister's tight schedule.
Notably, the all party delegates are preparing to hold meetings with the Prime Minister, the Union Home Minister and the Union Law Minister on the pending three Bills.
