AMCTA raises demands

Representatives of The All Manipur College
Teachers' Association (AMCTA) met the Education Minister Dr
Kh Ratankumar today at around 3.30 pm and held discussion with
regards to various demands made by them.
They highlighted to the Education Minister that the pro-
posed Manipur Higher and Technical Education Code needs
thorough discussion and should not take any hasty decision.
Executive members of AMCTA has so far held two meet-
ings with regards to the Manipur Higher and Technical
Education Code and stated that the condition of government
colleges will be greatly affected if no thorough deliberation is
made before it is enforced, said a statement issued by the joint
secretary (publicity) of AMCTA.
