Socio-economic development hardly possible without good health: L Jayantakumar

Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayantakumar expressed that good health is necessary for good progressive development during an inaugural function of the Zonal Health Public Laboratory and Barrack Type Quarter at Primary Health Centre, Moreh today.
The Minister maintained that the incumbent Government is trying its best to boost health sector in the State.
New health and wellness centers were opened with an objective to improve health care system.
he added and said that due to changes in lifestyles, new diseases are coming up, so we need to find ways to cure and make our health care system better.
He further stated that all human are equal, so discrimination among us needs to be stopped.
The Minister informed that the State has been assured to receive Rs 30,00,000 worth of Food Testing Machines while adding that to install these machines, proper infrastructure is needed.
He also assured that Food Safety office and its services will be made fully functional very soon.
During his visit, the Minister also inaugurated the newly installed Free Diagnostic Lab, X-ray, Anesthesia and Ultra sound machines at Sub District Hospital, Moreh.
YAS Minister Letpao Haokip who attended as President dedicated the newly constructed Zonal Health Public Laboratory and Barrack Type Quarter at Primary Health Centre and also urged the locals to take care and maintain the buildings.
He appealed the public to refrain from politicising sports, health and education sectors.
N Indrajit, MLA, Kshetrigao AC and Dr K Ranjit Singh, Director, Health Services also attended as Guests of Honour.
