All Manipur Students Guardians' Association has demanded the intervention of the State Governor to solve the problems faced now in Manipur aftermath the Khwairamband incident of July 23. Talking to reporters today at the association's office located at Palace Gate here, president of the association, N Chaoba said students have stayed away from classes due to the class boycott call given by the AMSU as a part of the agitations launched by the Apunba Lup.
The agitation has greatly affected the education system of the state.
He held the state government responsible for the deprivation of the students from learning.
Had the government heeded to the demands of the people, situation would not have reached this stage.
Expressing support to the agitation of the people, Chaoba pointed out that the indefinite boycott of classes would affect the career of the students.
He also expressed his desire that the boycott be at a definite period.
He also appealed all concerned to make education a free zone.
He urged the Governor to intervene in order to solve the present problems of the state.
