Speaking at the election campaign for INC Inner PC candidate O Nabakishore Singh at Kwakta Sandhong Bazar, ex-MLA and general secy & Spokesperson MPCC M Prithviraj Singh said the Lok Sabha elections 2019 is the beginning of a new era and end of BJP.
"The Lok Sabha election is a fight between the BJP, who wants to destroy Manipur and Congress, the saviour.
May 23 is their (BJP) expiry date," he said claiming that the BJP will be a defeated party when the election counting on the day ends.
Prithviraj also accused the BJP of undermining the interest of the minorities and asserted that the Citizenship Amendment Bill of the BJP will compromise and destroy the identity and integrity of the indigenous people of the State and North-East.
"We should vote for our future.
We must not give power to those who brings in CAB that will destroy our future," he said.
He talked about the Minimum Income Guarantee scheme of the Congress and said that the scheme will help eradicate poverty.

He also accused the BJP led Government in the Centre for causing immense hardship and making false promise to bring back black money through demonetisation.
The Prime Minister is known to have travelled foreign countries extensively wasting tax payers money, he said.
He then accused the BJP of favouring only the elites of the country.
He also lobbed sharp attacks on the Biren Government and accused the Government of only reaping the fruit of works started by Congress.
MPCC gen secy Amin Shah compared the fight between Congress and BJP as a fight between an elephant (Congress) and a bull (BJP).
Saying that BJP is not matured enough to challenge the Congress, Amin said Congress will win the elections.
Lynching in the name of protection of cows surfaces and increases during the BJP Government, he said.
He also accused the BJP of undermining the secular structure of the country by being selective in choosing who can become a citizen of the country in the CAB.
MLA Govindas Konthoujam, vice president Bishnupur District Congress Committee Md Noor Rahman, gen secy BDCC Ph Bheigyabati Devi, president Moirang Block Congress Committee Md Saukat Ali and Kwakta Municipal Council Congress Councillors attended the event.
The campaign was organised by Moirang Block Congress Committee.
