BT Road firing case

A personnel of Imphal West commando deposed before the Sessions Judge Imphal West as a prosecution witness today in connection with the ongoing trial of the 2009 BT Road firing case.
In his submission, the prosecution witness identified as Okram Nanda stated that he was posted in Imphal West commando headquarters in 2009 and his duty was to look after the arms vault at the headquarters.
He further stated that constable Ch Basanta worked with him at the arms vault.
He admitted that the seizure memo of six arms and ammunition seized from Sub-Inspector Punsiba, Head Constable Th Herojit, Havaldar Jagat, Head Constable Keshore, Rifleman Toyaima and Rifleman Khaimingthang was shown to him.
He submitted that the seizure memo was prepared by SDPO Imphal West S Ibomcha for seizure of the arms and ammunition in the presence of SI Babuyaima and Ch Basanta .
The Court has fixed May 16 for recording/deposition of the next prosecution witness of the case.
The trial of the case is on before the Sessions Judge with case number 57 of 2015 CBI versus Y Munal and eight others.
All the accused in the case except Y Munal and Th Herojit were present in today's Court proceeding.
