Dengue cases stand at 202

Declared by the State Government as an outbreak, the cases of Dengue in Churachandpur district stands at 202 as of today, informed a source in Health Department."Over eight hundred people showing symptoms similar to the deadly virus have been tested till date", Dr F Thienkhogin, the District Malaria officer said.
The health department has collected larval samples from various localities to confirm the presence of 'Aedes', the dengue carrier mosquito.
Bijang area of the township where the presence of Aedes larva has been detected during the second half of November was the latest affected locality by the virus.
However, the health officials successfully downplayed its spread.
Meanwhile, Churachandpur and Sadar Hills DSAs have plan to organise a exhibition football match at Lamka public ground on December 10 with an spirit educate people about the deadly virus.
