ADC Chairmen urge BJP, NPF leaders

Imphal, April 06 2018:
The Chairmen of Autonomous District Councils of Ukhrul, Tamenglong and Senapati have submitted memorandum to the presidents of BJP Manipur Pradesh and Naga People's Front (NPF) Manipur State today, demanding the parties to direct their respective members to respect the coalition partnership's interest in letter and spirit.
According to the memo, the ADC chairmen congratulated the BJP and the NPF for steering the coalition State Government successfully for 13 months with many positive outcomes.
It also expressed pride at the positive changes taking place in the State within such a short period of time and added that the Government machineries and the public now have free movements in the hills and the valley and trust has been restored as well.
However, it claimed that there are many areas which still needs to be managed properly.
It stated that there are many instances of meddling in other's political affairs by wrongfully appeasing the ADC members and even party workers and claimed that the party workers at the grassroots level even feel discriminated sometimes as an outsider within the coalition Government.
It pointed out that failing to interfere and direct the erring members to respect the coalition partnership's interest will result in a stale partnership in Government formation at all levels.
It also appealed to the concerned for timely intervention so as to build a stronger and better relationship within the coalition Government.
