Shiv Sena Manipur has demanded a thorough enquiry into the missing case of 56 arms kept at the arms kote of 2nd Bn MR.Speaking to media persons at their Babupara office today, Shiv Sena Manipur president M Tombi said that the missing arms can lead to many criminal activities and turmoil in the society.
Categorically stating that it's not the time for playing blame game between BJP and Congress on the issue, Tombi said what is important is ascertaining who stole the arms and how.
He also hailed the State Government's decision to hand over the case to the NIA.
While welcoming the State Government's initiative to strengthen Imphal River banks, Tombi sought attention of the Government towards Nambul River.
Uripok and Sagolband often encounter floods as the waterways underneath the Thong Nambonbi are too small to let increased volume of water flow through during rainy season.
Tombi further sought attention of the Government to see that the bridge is supported by only two columns so that it does not obstruct
the flow of water.
