Shiv Sena Manipur State Unit president M Tombi has said that the party welcomes the agreement signed between NSCN (IM) and the Central Government, but it would not accept any terms about formation of Autonomous Territorial Council in the State as a result of the agreement.
Speaking to media persons at the party office at Babupara today, its president M Tombi warned against any impact on the integrity of the State as a result of the solution between NSCN (IM) and the Central Government.
He said that the party will not accept the formation of an Autonomous Territorial Council despite the presence of the State Government, and if the case is so, the party along with the people will vehemently oppose the decision.
However, M tombi lauded the BJP State Government for taking up various initiatives to bring development in the hills, as well as the Go to Village mission which was launched yesterday.
He said that he personally appreciates Chief Minister N Biren Singh for inaugurating and handing over women market to the people during the 2nd Shirui Lily festival recently.
Stating that the audience for the Go to Village mission mostly consists of farmers, labourers and fish rearers, the Shiv Sena State president urged the State Government to take up proper measures so as to avoid any inconveniences while procuring the benefits of the mission by the target people.
On the other hand, M Tombi said that the demand for implementation of 7th Pay in the State is justified and appealed to the employees to perform their duties diligently and honestly as well.
