JNIMS authority assures agitating teachers of actions on memorandum by Feb 28

Concerned with the cease-work strike that is affecting the health-care services in the hospital, JNIMS Director Th Bhimo has appealed the agitating teachers to adopt another form of agitation in the interest of general public.
Speaking to media persons at his office today, Th Bhimo said that JNIMS authority is considering the representations of the agitating teachers for possible solution at the earliest.
Saying there are multiple important points that need to be discussed at Chief Minister's level, he urged the teachers association to facilitate ways for peaceful dialogue and discussion amongst the authorities and officials concerned.
Meanwhile, members of Assistant Professors, Senior Residents & Associate Professors Committee met the Principal Secretary (Health & family Welfare) V Vumlunmang yesterday.
In the meeting, JNIMS authority assured the committee of decisions on the various representations submitted by the Teachers Association, APSRA Committee by February 28, said a statement of the Deputy Director (Admn) JNIMS, Porompat today.
For smooth functioning of the patient care in the hospital and also medical college, the Deputy Director appealed the members of the Teachers Association and APSRA Committee to attend normal duties in public interest.
The APSRA Committee has been demanding time scale promotion, implementation of the amendment of "50% of eligible" to "50% of sanctioned post of regular senior residents/ tutors/ demonstrators/ lady medical officers" in JNIMS time scale promotion rules for senior residents/tutors/demonstrators/lady medical officers and cancellation of the notification for appointment of Assistant Professor etc.
