State joins in observing Vigilance Awareness Week

As part of the Vigilance Awareness Week, the Integrity Pledge was taken on October 26 by the officers and staff of the Vigilance & Anti Corruption Department, Manipur in its office premise.
In a press issued by the Superintendent of Police, Vigilance & Anti Corruption Department, Manipur stated that the Vigilance Awareness Week is celebrated every year during the week in which the birthday of Sardar Vallabhai Patel (October 31) falls.
This year the week is celebrated under the theme 'Independent India @75: Self Reliance with Integrity'.
Also poster campaigns are conducted in areas of Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal and Bishnupur districts in connection with the awareness week, added the press release.Tthe Vigilance & Anti Corruption Department, Manipur also took part in the Gram Sabha of Changangei Gram Panchayat held today at Changangei community hall today wherein the SP stressed on the need for observing the awareness week so as to spread the message that everyone should be involved in the fight against corruption.
Further, the Department is planning to organise more awareness Gram Sabha in Gram Panchayat areas as part of the awareness week in the coming days.
