Girls' education camp begins

Imphal, August 19 2011:
A five-day long Girls' education camp has begun from today at K Ranjit High School, Patsoi.
The camp is being organised under the aegis of SSA, Girls' Education Wing, Zone-I, Imphal West district.
MLA of Patsoi Assembly Constituency Sapam Kunjeshore, (Keba) inaugurated the camp as chief guest.
Around 136 girl students studying in class VI to VII and selected from 69 different schools under ZEO Zone-I are participating in the camp during which they would be given training in various fields including floriculture, vocational activities.
Speaking at the occasion, MLA Kunjeshore encouraged the students to work hard and become responsible citizen of the society.
Pointing out that Right to Education Act has been enacted to ensure education to all, the MLA also appealed to all the people for collective understanding of the importance of the Act and its message.
He also assured every possible assistance from his side in ensuring the success of the camp.
MLA of Konthoujam A/C K Sarat and Director of Education (S) W Rajen were also present at the occasion.
