"Sewa Saptah" kicked-off at Kumbi

A weeklong celebration, "Seva Saptah", observed in connection with the 70th birthday of the PM Modi, was kick-started by former BJP Candidate of the 29-Kumbi AC, Kh Nabakumar today.
The inaugural function of the week-long service programme was presided by M Manishwor Haotak, N Ibohal Haotak and Kh Nabakumar as dignitaries.
Kh Nabakumar, speaking at the occasion, said that he will facilitate awareness to the public about the PM's vision to double the productivity of the farmers by 2022 and other schemes including KCC loan to PM-Kishan beneficiaries at his best level.
He also appealed to the beneficiaries whose ponds have been dug up under PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana and beneficiaries of sprinkler sets to make the best use of the assistance and work sincerely.
He also assured to organise programmes to impart scientific and productive knowledge to the farmers in coming days.
70 tree saplings and fruit plants were also planted as a part of the inaugural function of the Sewa Saptah which will be observed till September 20, reports our correspondent.
In the meantime, S Premchandra, general secretary of BJP Bishnupur Dist Committee also distributed edibles at Wangoo Terakhong Makha Leikai community hall as a part of his continuous relief work and the Seva Saptah celebration initiated by the BJP Kumbi Mandal.
184 households of the Terakhong GP Ward No 7 under Kumbi Assembly Constituency were assisted during the 22nd charitable programme conducted by the district BJP secretary.
Assuring further similar relief work in the coming days, S Premchandra also maintained that promotion of peace, brotherhood and service to fellow beings as a key to development.
