AMDWA to submit 25,115 signatures, demands to Prez

All Manipur Democratic Women's Association (AMDWA) is gearing up to submit 25,115 signatures collected for the "Hunger Free Life - My Constitutional Right" campaign along with a list of demands to the President of India.
In a statement, AMDWA said that the campaign which was carried out under the aegis of All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) came to a close today.
The list of demands to be submitted to the President include providing everyone with access to Public Distribution System (PDS); increase monetary amount allocated for food security in the budget; increase the quantity of food items distributed through PDS; provide kerosene at Rs 15 per litre; decrease price of cooking gas etc among others.
It is worth noting that the cadres of AMDWA collected signatures for the "Hunger Free Life - My Constitutional Right" campaign across 11 districts and 200 towns of the State.
Office bearers of AMDWA namely, Chanambam Sundari, president; Asem Binodini, vice president; Ayekpam Ashabala, secretary among others have assured that the signatures along with their demands will be submitted to the President of India.
