Civic Action Programmes continue

As a part of Civic Action Programme, 86 Battalion CRPF under the aegis of Sandeep Datta, IG Manipur & Nagaland Sector CRPF today distributed water storage tanks to the villagers of Khumji in Noney district.
The programme was attended by Mohamand Yusuf, Commandant 86 Bn CRPF, other officers of the battalion and Sh Athuipao Kamei, chairman of Khumji village, said a release issued by 86 Bn CRPF.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohamand Yusuf expressed his gratitude to the villagers and added that the water tanks were provided with the aim to help and develop the village.
"The villagers can now store rain water and ground water from the hills and store them for future uses", he added.
Moreover, as a part of Civic Action Programme, 29 Bn BSF under the aegis of Sector Headquarter BSF CI (Operations) Manipur organised free medical camps at Leikoching in Kangpokpi district and Tumukhong village in Imphal East district on March 13 .
Jimmy Hulang, Senior Resident, Department of Nephrology, RIMS; Dr Dev Kishore, Dr K Lossii, Dr Saolin Thingujam along with para medical staff of 29 Bn BSF provided medical care to the villagers during the medical camp, said a release issued by 29 Bn BSF.
As part of the event, Sonam Chhering, Commandant, also interacted with the villagers and urged them to keep their surroundings clean, maintain personal hygiene and sanitation.
