Felicitation cum farewell function of Ukhrul ADC Chairman held

The local populace of Ukhrul has felicitated its newly elected ADC Chairman, Dr Yaronsho Ngalung and bade farewell to Dickson Kamkara, former ADC Chairman, in a simple function held at town hall, Phungreitang Ukhrul, today.
Ukhrul ADC member Edmund Chiphang while welcoming the newly elected chairman Dr Yaronsho said that various developmental works hve been carried out under the leadership of Dickson Kamkara, who has just finished its term.
He also urged the new Chairman to initiate more developmental activities for the welfare of Ukhrul district.
The outgoing Chairman, Dickson Kamkara also expressed gratitude to all his colleagues and council members for their relentless support and appealed to continue to lend its helping hands to the newly elected leader to bring stable ADC in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Yaronsho Ngalung sought for cooperation from district administration, police, Tangkhul social organization and all the councillors for smooth functioning of the district under Autonomous District Council.
In his speech, he also mentioned that he will seek more financial assistance from the State to bring equal development through ADCs of respective districts.
Dr Yaronsho also expressed gratitude to the party leaders for electing him as the new party leader and the chairman unanimously.
Ahead of the felicitation programme, election of Chairman was conducted at ADC conference hall Phungreitang, presided by Ukhrul ADC member VS Paothing and CEO Polly Makan as the returning officers, in which Dr Yaronsho Ngalung was unanimously elected as the new Chairman.
The presiding officers immediately administered oath taking ceremony of the Chairman after the completion of the election procedures.
A reliable source informed that the incumbent vice Chairman is likely to retain his post.
The felicitation Cum farewell programme was attended by Ukhrul ADC members, DC Ukhrul Harmit Singh Pahuja, Police officers, CEO, Tangkhul social organization leaders, NPF party leaders, officers of ADC, staffs and well wishers.
