Mega projects all set for a date with PM and Sonia Gandhi

All mega projects of the state which are to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi tomorrow in Imphal has been neatly decorated and all is set for the final inauguration.
The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will be inaugurating the City Convention Centre, Multi Auditorium Manipur Film Development Corporation (MFDC) complex, Inter State Bus Terminus, Assembly Complex and the High Court tomorrow.
Official sources revealed that as a part of the security arrangement made prior to the visit tomorrow an additional seven SPG personnel and three sniffer dogs has already arrived in Imphal from Delhi.
The additional security arrangements have been made owing to the bomb blast incident which occurred at the gate of Hafta Kang-jeibung on November 30, where the Manipur Sangai Festival was going on.
The spot where the bomb exploded is just 100 metres away from the City Convention Centre and MFDC complex which the PM and Sonia Gandhi will be inaugurating.

The construction for the City Convention Centre was started in March 9, 2009 with a project cost of Rs 53.89 crores.
An additional amount of Rs 22 crore was further sanctioned before its completion.
PWD is the work agency of the project and was constructed by MS Simplex Project Limited.
For the first time in the state escalator is being used.
The construction of the multi-auditorium MFDC cmplex was started in2008-09 under the work agency of MDS with a project cost of 14.44 crores.
The auditorium has a sitting capacity of 800 persons.
The four panels of the auditorium are decorated with pictures of different communities.
Constructed by MS Avantica Construction (I), works on the Inter State Bus Terminus started in December 2009 with a project cost of Rs 24,55,39,951 .
The construction of the Assembly Building started in November 2004 after the foundation stone was laid by PM Dr Manmohan Singh.
The building was constructed under SPA with a project cost of Rs 285.133 crores.
It was also constructed by MS Simplex Project Limited under the work agency of PWD.
The sitting capacity of the Assembly Building is 150 persons.
Started in April 2006 after the foundation stone was laid by the then Chief justice YK Sabharwal, the construction of the High Court Building was also undertaken by MS Simplex Project Limited under the work agency of PWD with a project cost of Rs 131.585 crores.
