Interaction programme on COVID-19 conducted

Tengnoupal, January 31 2022: Health Department Tengnoupal under the aegis of District Administration Tengnoupal on Monday organised an interaction programme on COVID-19 at the office of Meitei Council Moreh.

It was attended by Health Department Tengnoupal, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Kh Gojen; District Surveillance Officer (DSO), Dr A Cecil; and PHC Moreh, MO in-charge Dr Kh Santikumar.

Representatives of Meitei Council Moreh (MCM), All Community Development Organisation Moreh (ACODOM), Hill Tribal Council (HTC), Tamil Sangam, Gorkha Samaj Moreh and Kuki Students Organisation (KSO) Moreh Block also attended the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kh Gojen stated that the interaction programme was conducted to deliberate on preventive measures considering the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Tengnoupal district and Myanmar.

He also appealed to the public to follow Covid Appropriate Behavior to prevent the spread of COVID-19 .

Dr Kh Gojen further lauded the steps taken by the District Administration to prevent the entry of people from Myanmar till February 7 considering the increasing trend of COVID-19 .

Community leaders and CSO leaders of Moreh present at the event also assured to support the Government in combating the pandemic.
