KCC honours Rev J Lunkim for his dedicated pastoral services

Pastor of Kangpokpi Christian Church (KCC), Rev Janglet Lunkim, who is known for his effective counseling, dedicated services and trustworthiness was befittingly honoured today at Kangpokpi Christian Church.
The event to honour Rev J Lunkim was organised by the Church executives cabinet, Ngapdet (Ordained Deacon), Church department leaders such as KCU (men's department), KCN (women's department), KCK (youth department) and Board of Sunday School.
Apart from the Church executives, Dr T Lunkim, executive secretary Manipur Synod; Rev Hemlet Singson, assistant executive secretary Manipur Synod; Dr Satkai Chongloi, and other Manipur Synod leaders also attended the event.
Rev J Lunkim became the pastor of Kangpokpi Christian Church in 1988 apart from serving as moderator, Gamkai secretary, Sah Gamkai, Gospel Missionary Board chairman of Kuki Christian Church Manipur Synod, and Manipur Synod Christian Education Board chairman.
According to Church secretary Letgoulen Khongsai, Rev J Lunkim has been instrumental in leading the Kangpokpi Christian Church, the largest Church in terms of members and biggest Church in terms of size not only in Kangpokpi District Headquarters but in the entire hill districts of the State as well.
He continued that there were only 27 household members in KCC in 1986 but now under the leadership of Rev J Lunkim, the Church has almost 400 household members.
With the contribution of Rev J Lunkim, KCC was formally declared in 1986 by Dr D Singson, the then Principal of Trulock Theological Seminary (TTS), Imphal while Rev J Lunkim performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Church building on January 14, 1987, which was later inaugurated after its construction on April 30, 1987, by Dr T Lunkim.
A spiritual leader who worked the talks, and talked the works, Rev J Lunkim during his 34 years of pastoral service had baptized more than 726 individuals and made them true disciples of God.
As part of the event, Rev J Lunkim and his wife Kimlhai Lunkim were presented with a myriad of gifts to show gratitude and as a mark of happiness & motivation.
The congregation also had a mass prayer for the well-being of the Church pastor and his family by making an offering to the Almighty.
Rev J Lunkim while conveying his heartfelt gratitude to the Church members, executives, and various department leaders for their love and concern, said that all things that the Church has accomplished till now are all because of the unity, collective efforts and struggles of the Church members and the blessing from above.
The pastor shared that he will cherish the moment and it will remain a memorable event in his life.
Rev J Lunkim also remembered seven of his colleagues who had already left for their heavenly abode and paid his highest tribute while presenting a gift to each of their families as a mark of tribute to the departed souls and respect for their past dedicated service to the people.
