Annual prize distribution of COHSEM held

Education Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar has said that although installation of CCTV cameras has been started from this year, the arrangement is not likely to last long.
He was speaking at the annual prize distribution function of Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) held at Classic Hotel Grande on July 25 .
Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar, BOSEM Chairman Sumant Singh, COHSEM Secretary Dr Maisnam Bidyasagar and COHSEM Chairman C Arthur graced the occasion as chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
Ratankumar said that to be vigilant in examination halls is encouraging, however it is not likely that installation of CCTV cameras would last long.
It would only increase expenditure, he observed.

The students must have the habit of consulting their teachers whenever they have any doubt while the teachers must have dedication in their work to reduce use of unfair means.
The Minister further said that the school authorities and teachers must not only concentrate on teaching but also do their best in character building of the students.
C Arthur said that different measures like installation of CCTV cameras, deputing flying squads, micro observers and student volunteers apart from seeking help from DCs and SPs concerned had been taken up to check use of unfair means.
DCs, SPs, teachers, flying squad members and student organisations were feted at the function.
COHSEM's Report 2016 was also released at the function.
