JAC warns bandh over youth's death

Imphal, May 27 2017:
The Joint Action Committee constituted against the death of Hirom Priyokumar who was found dead hanging from a tree in a suspicious manner at Tangj eng hill under Thoubal police station yesterday has warned of imposing bandh from May 29 midnight in case the authority concerned fails to nab the culprits involved in the suspected murder.
Addressing media persons at Manipur Press Club today, convenor of the JAC, Kh Jiban made it clear the dead body will not be claimed till the culprits are arrested and punished as per the law.
He said that a missing report was filed in the police station concerned after Priyokumar failed to return home ever since he went to SBI MG Avenue Branch to deposit money on May 17 .
He suspected that Priyokumar was hung on the tree after being murdered by unknown persons.
