Workers, Meira Paibis protest bomb threat at Nillakuthi

Workers and Meira Paibis today staged a protest demonstration against the act of planting a powerful bomb having timer device near a stone crushing firm at Nillakuthi.
The protesters put up placards which read as "Don't plant bombs in populated areas", "We want peace", "Don't terrify workers" etc.
Ngangom Ibemcha w/o Ngangom Premjit who is the owner of the stone crushing firm said that peaceful negotiation would have been much more preferable instead of planting the powerful bomb.
Had the bomb exploded, it would have caused heavy casualties to many workers and commuters.
She also appealed to all concerned to refrain from such activities in future.
The protest demonstration was organised under the aegis of Nillakuthi Meira Paibi Lup and its president Usham Thoibi pointed out that the spot where the bomb was planted was very close to the place where many labourers were working.
It was also close to the road used by a large number of students.
Moreover, the area was often visited by cattle.
She asked, "Can anyone imagine the disaster had the bomb exploded ?" .
