Assistants to weavers distributed

Daily crimes and festivals are abundant in the state, said MLA Radha Binod Koijam today while distributing cheque to weavers in a one day awareness programme on handloom products.
Speaking in the occasion organised by the Kabrabam Leikai Handloom Cluster at Ibudhou Naothingkhong Pakhangba Shanglen, Thangmeiband Lairenhanjaba Leikai, MLA Radha Binod Koijam said that real independent is not the political independent but financial independent.
In order to save Manipur from financial dependency, everybody should developed work culture and strive for a financially independent society.
He said that many developmental works are being taken up in Thangmeiband AC.
A water tank with total investment of Rs 4 crore is being constructed at Chingmeirong.
Moreover a big public pond is also being dug up at Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai.
If the two project is completed, people of the AC will further face no water problem.
President Thangmeiband Kendra Development Committee, Ch Dinachandra, CDE Kabrabam Leikai Handloom Cluster M Iboyaima and president Ibudhou Naothingkhong Pakhangba Lai Committee Potsangbam Mangi attended the function as presidium members.
MLA Radha Binod Koijam distributed cheque of Rs 26,600 each to 24 weaver group under Kabrabam Leikai Handloom Cluster.
