Students' bodies warn against fraud sites luring young girls

Joint student bodies of KSOD&NCR, NSUD and MSAD along with the people of North East have strongly condemned the activities of targeting young girls for prostitution business through social media platforms and also warned girls specially from North-East not to fall prey.
The joint statement informed that according to a viral post, news about '***' is being circulated through social media and have received viral claims that such platform is trying to get attention from vulnerable girls from North East, recruiting them for prostitution in other Asian countries, in the name if recruitment for modelling and stage performance.
Although the authenticity of the viral post is not guaranteed, the student bodies have warned people to be alert about such fraudulent platforms who target young girls for their prostitution business.
These platforms organize online auditions, selfie contests, etc through their website and collects private photos and details of young girls.
To entice the youth, they offer prizes, opportunity to be models and contract workers, etc, stated the release.
The students' bodies have also asked misguided agents who are recruiting people for such agencies to not involve in such business and if needed, will seek help from State and Central agencies to take up actions against such business and those involved.
The bodies have also appealed to all people of North-East to take look into this matter seriously and take necessary precautions.
