Senapati, September 24 2021:
The Maram Students' Union (MKS) has appealed to the construction companies to execute the road construction work as per the standards and specifications laid down by the Ministry.
In a release, MKS stated that land compensations have almost been paid to the land owners and construction of the National Highway is in its initial stage.
In Maram area's Tumuyon Khullen stretch of NH-2, Leckon Company executed the four-lane construction while the double-lanning of Maram-Peren Road, NH-129A was carried out by Ram Ram and CSR Companies.
In this regard, the 1st (first) Federal Assembly held on September 11 at Tumuyon Khullen, MKS had viewed that the ongoing mega project was a gift by the Government of India to the people.
"As such, MKS felt that it has become the moral responsibility of the local people to ensure maximum support and cooperation to the working agency wherever the ongoing work takes place", it added.
As initial quality work will lead to subsequent quality results of the works, MKS appealed to the companies to maintain quality workmanship by giving priority on durability of the road and ensure timely completion of mega projects.
It also stated that the MKS in association with local youths and student bodies shall monitor and visit sites of construction, from time to time.
The student union further mentioned that as the Government of India and State Government have sanctioned the ongoing mega projects for welfare of the people, inconveniences caused to personnel of the working agency shall not be tolerated at any cost.
