CCpur, July 24 2020:
After a staff of a private laboratory at Churachandpur tested positive for COVID-19, health authorities have collected 143 samples from clients who visited the lab recently.
Samples were collected from the clients at two locations.
It may be noted that the authorities concerned had traced the clients and issued public notice directing all those who visited Advanced Diagnostics between July 11 and 21 to report to the district Chief Medical Officer and Deputy Commissioner.
Significantly, at least 700 people have reported so far.
The figure (700), however is more than the number of clients on record at the lab as people who had accompanied them have also reported themselves.
The health authorities are targeting to collect about 150 samples from tomorrow, sources said.
On the other hand, a statement issued by CMO Bishnupur said that all the family members and contacts of the COVID-19 patient from Kumbi, who is the staff of the private lab in Churachandpur, have tested negative for the virus.
Meanwhile, DIG Range-Ill, Kamei Angam Romanus visited the district to take stock of the situation here and monitor the lockdown.
