Imphal, January 24 2016:
The 1st phase of public awareness campaign on "Mission
Indradhanush and Mother & Child Care +A" organised by the
Directorate of Field Publicity, Chandel and Senapati units, Ministry
of Information and Broadcasting, Govt of India has
concluded at Khudei Khunou village today, reports our correspondent.
Speaking at the valedictory programme, MLA D
Korungthang said that lack of awareness and people's inability
to access the benefits of the Central Government's
schemes hinder the development of society.
The MLA appealed to the people not to be misled by
false propaganda on immunisation about immunization and
said that growth and development would take place only
when the society is healthy.
Dr Benedict, State Nodal Officer (AYUSH) deliberated
on the importance of administering regular immunization to
children.
He also urged mothers and expecting mothers to
avail the benefits under JSSK scheme.
A free health camp was also organised under the leadership
of Dr S Imocha Singh and Dr N Paona Singh, State
Health Society, Manipur.
Rally, interactive session, healthy baby contest and quiz
competition were the highlights of the programme.
Dr Mossil Rocky, MO, Chandel district hospital, K
Sonikumar Singh, Field Publicity Officer, Chandel and
Jitendra Pradhan, Field Publicity Officer, Senapati were also
present at the occasion.
