Malaria month observation

District Vector Borne Disease Control Society, Chandel commenced Anti-malaria Month observation specifically for Chandel district at District Hospital, Chandel, Conference Hall from yesterday.
The dignitaries of the programme included Deputy Commissioner, Chandel, Th Chitaranjan and District Hospital, Chandel, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Nongmaithem Birchandra as the chief guest and president respectively.
The doctors of Chandel District Hospital spoke about malaria and other diseases spread by mosquitos and suggested how to stay away from it, in the programme participated by ASHAs from different areas of Chandel district.
Th Chitaranjan in his speech as a chief guest highlighted the important roles of ASHAs, other organisations and the local people of Chandel district in putting in concerted effort to save the people of Chandel district from malaria, dengue, Japanese encephalitis and other diseases spread by mosquitos.
"If we are more cautious then we can definitely prevent ourselves from these diseases", remarked Th Chitaranjan.
