Imphal, May 23 2017:
Pensioners and family pensioners can visit the Common Service Centre whenever they are free in order to submit relevant documents and enrol for life certificate under Jeevan Pramaan.
This was stated by Treasury Officer Konsam Bingku after a large number of pensioners/family pensioners starting thronging the Treasury office every day to get the necessary procedure done.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, Treasury Officer Konsam Bingku said, "Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric enabled digital service for providing life certificate to pensioners.
Ever since the Department of Information Technology notified to submit all the relevant documents and register for Jeevan Pramaan by May 31, pensioners and family pensioners start standing in a queue from 4 am.
It is quite disturbing to see elders getting anxious due to misunderstanding between the Department of Treasury and Department of Information Technology" .
"There's nothing to panic and worry as pensioners/family pensioners can visit the Common Service Centre any time between 10 am and 5 pm to submit the documents and enroll for Jeevan Pramaan.
There is no last date for submission and enrolment as notified earlier by the Department of Information Technology" he added.
