Funds marked for 9 community halls

Tribal Affairs and Hills Minister N Kayisii has stated that necessary funds for construction of seven community halls/centres in Tadubi AC, and one each in Uripok AC and Khoupum AC have been sanctioned.
Replying to a question raised by Opposition MLA Alfred Kanngam Arthur in the State Assembly today, Kayisii said that Rs 97.49 lakh have been sanctioned for each of community hall/centre.
He further informed that five hostels for tribal boys and girls having capacity of 100 persons each have been constructed at five places at the cost of Rs 184.50 lakh each under tribal sub-scheme of the Special Central Assistance during the current financial year.
Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayantakumar said that utilisation certificates of Rs 88.08 crore for National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Rs 31.93 for National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) and Rs 4.17 crore of AYUSH were submitted to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare during the current financial year.
Jayantakumar made this statement in response to a question raised by Kh Joykisan.
He further informed the House that utilisation certificates of Rs 59.68 crore for NRHM, Rs 24.27 crore for NACO and Rs 26.56 crore for AYUSH have not been submitted yet.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has sanctioned Rs 77.35 crore for NRHM, Rs 23.59 crore for NACO and Rs 7.03 crore for AYUSH, Jayantakumar added.
Replying to a query raised by K Ranjit about Post Graduate medical entrance test, Jayantakumar said that no centre for PG medical entrance examination has been allotted to Manipur so far as the State is yet to fulfil the necessary criteria.
Nonetheless, the State Government has been working to get a centre allotted to the State, Jayantakumar said.
