Agape Children Home welcomes DC Kangpokpi

Kangpokpi, December 22 2016:
Orphans at Agape Children Home, Kangpokpi, welcomed the first Deputy Commissioner of Kangpokpi at his office chamber today.
The father of the Home, H Joseph Kipgen, along with few managing staff of the Home met the Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi district, T Ranjit Singh, this afternoon at his chamber and presented a wooden frame memento and a traditional shawl Saipikhup as a mark of greeting, our correspondent reports.
The DC expressed his immense pleasure to Joseph Kipgen and his colleagues for the warm welcome and excused himself for not being able to spend quality time with them.
Joseph spoke about the Children Home briefly and submitted a memorandum to the DC.
Speaking to media persons outside the DC's chamber, Joseph said that the people are fortunate to have T Ranjit Singh, who is known as a man of work, as the Deputy Commissioner of the district.
He expressed hope that the district administration under his leadership will work for the welfare of the unfortunate children.
The Agape Children Home also expressed its immense happiness over the declaration of Kangpokpi as a full fledged district.
It conveyed sincere gratitude and appreciation to Chief Minister O Ibobi and his Cabinet for fulfilling the aspirations of the people and the tireless efforts of MLA Nemcha Kipgen and two other MLAs of Kangpokpi district including IFC Minister Ngamthang Haokip and Saikul AC MLA Yamthong Haokip in attaining districthood.
